At the Energy Technology Institute (ITE), we have over 30 years of experience, making us an international leader in developing technological solutions that enable companies to move towards a more energy-sustainable world. We aim to support the energy transition process, facilitating decarbonization and the efficient use of new, renewable, and environmentally friendly energy sources.

ITE is a private, non-profit association of companies. As an Energy Technology Center, ITE is registered with the Ministry of Science and Innovation under number 74.

Our goal is to generate knowledge and develop technologies that address the challenges of the energy transition, which we then transfer to companies, fostering increased competitiveness through technology and innovation.

Within the biotechnology line, we are developing the SELF-SENS (Bio) wearable sensors project with methodologies for the autonomous extraction and collection of sweat and interstitial fluid. This project, a collaboration between the Energy Technology Institute (ITE) and the Textile Technology Institute (AITEX), aims to take a further step in continuous and personalized health monitoring. Through the development of wearable (bio)sensors, the project facilitates real-time clinical monitoring of physiological and biochemical parameters and offers a comfortable, autonomous, and easy-to-use tool for evaluating and improving athletic performance.
