Patconsult.LAB is an experimental Pathology research centre founded in 2018 and GLP certified (Good Laboratory Practice) in 2019. Our scientific team is formed by professionals with over 30 years of experience in preclinical experimental Pathology.
Patconsult.LAB is specialised in histopathology and scientific and technical consultant services. We conduct studies on (regulatory) Toxicologic Pathology, Experimental Pathology (efficacy studies and experimental model analysis) and Biocompatibility (subcutaneous, muscular, bone implants, etc.).
Patconsult.LAB has its research centre in Parc Tecnòlogic del Vallès, Cerdanyola del Vallès, Barcelona. We provide sample optical microscopy services and image analysis for numerous research projects. The corresponding GLP-compliant reports are issued by our team and audited by our Quality Assurance Unit.
Our team is formed by medical and veterinary pathologists with wide experience in preclinical experimental pathology, who are in charge of sample analysis, assessment and reports.
Likewise, we have laboratory technicians whose main tasks include sample processing, all kinds of routine histologic techniques, and special histochemical techniques.
As an experimental pathology laboratory, Patconsult.LAB has a sample processing area for all types of samples. It includes a specific area for trimming, paraffin block inclusion and preparation, and a separate area for microtomy cutting, tinction and revision of slides.
All samples processed in our Histology laboratory are assessed by our diagnosis department, issuing the corresponding pathology report.
Patconsult.LAB offers a comprehensive sample processing service for all kinds of samples from preclinical studies (toxicity, efficacy studies, tolerability studies, etc.) conducted on experimental animals (rodents – rat, mouse-, NZW rabbit, Beagle dog, minipig, and NHP).
A team of pathologists evaluate all samples under study and issue the corresponding pathology reports.
Patconsult.lAB also provides digital image analysis with a Hamamatsu scanner, conducting morphometric studies for all samples under study.
All regulatory preclinical studies are GLP-compliant. Patconsult.LAB Quality Department audits and inspects the activities and reports issued in our facilities.
Patconsult.LAB offers services of experimental Pathology to Biomedicine and Biotechnology research centres, CROs, Pharmaceutical industry, University Research Centres, and Hospital Research Centres, among others.
