Telstar has been awarded the Chamber Prize 2019 (Premis Cambra 2019) for the Healthy Company category in recognition for the implementation of a strategical policy in the field of work environment and health promotion that, besides being integrated into the corporate culture, has also counted on the active support and involvement of the full professional team.

The company counts on an occupational risk prevention active plan whereby installation improvement actions in health and safety have been undertaken. In addition over 100 courses and training actions have been promoted during 2018, with a total of 1,037 hours, for 472 workers. During this time occupational accidents has been reduced by 50%, which includes time off work.

At the same time, actions aimed to facilitate healthy nutritional habits and sports involvement have also been integrated into the corporate policy of the company. Within the healthy company program, professional teams are involved in inclusive initiatives to promote physical exercise, such as “The walker of the month” campaign, and employees own sport activities are included. During the last Friday of every month the company provides fresh fruit for all workers of the company.

Promoted by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Terrassa, the Premis Cambra is awarded annually to recognize the contribution of companies to social & economic territorial development.
