CRB Health Tech is a venture capital management company registered under number 87 in the CNMV Registry. CRB Health Tech specializes in the management of venture capital entities and venture capital company assets investing in innovative early-stage technology-based projects within the life sciences sector. It benefits from the experience and know-how of CRB Health Tech, which since 2005 has managed and invested in eleven biotechnology companies.
The funds managed by CRB Health Tech invest in technology projects related to life sciences in order to contribute to their development, providing support in the management of portfolio companies and strategic guidance through to the divestment process.

CRB Health Tech specializes in the management of venture capital entities and venture capital company assets investing in innovative early-stage technology-based projects within the life sciences sector.
In Spain, biotechnology companies focused on life sciences are underfunded compared to their European and North American counterparts. This is mainly due to the limited amount of private capital available for investment in the sector. In addition, there are other contributing factors:
- There is no strong investment tradition in biotechnology or life sciences among private investors in Spain.
- There are few venture capital firms in the Spanish market specialized in the sector.
- Bank financing for biotechnology companies is virtually non-existent.
-Most public support is provided in the form of loans or grants, limiting leverage opportunities.
Although this trend may change in the coming years, European investments in the Spanish biotechnology sector have so far been very limited. Therefore, CRB Inverbío’s strategy will be to seek co-investors for its portfolio companies, ensuring that the Funds have sufficient resources to support them through subsequent financing rounds if necessary.
