Entities from PCB promote their international presence at BIO-Europe 2017

From 6 to 8 November, Belin will host BIO-Europe 2017, the largest partnering gathering of the biotech and pharmaceutical industry in Europe and one of the largest in the world. The event, organized by EBD-Group with the collaboration of Biocat –based at the Barcelona Science Park (PCB)– will again draw over 3,800 industry attendees from over 60 countries, representing more than 2,000 companies and It will have a important representation of PCB.

The BioRegion of Catalonia will be represented by 33 companies and institutions in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical technology, research entities and venture capital, five of which are based at the Barcelona Science Park: Esteve, Intelligent Pharma, Institut de Bioenginyeria de Catalunya (IBEC), Mind the Byte, Molomics Biotech and Proteodesign.

Biocat will have a space at the stand of the European bioXclusters plus project (number 31), shared with the other 3 leading European clusters in biotechnology and health (BioM, BioPMed and Lyonbiopole), where companies from the BioRegion of Catalonia will be able to deposit their information and advertising material and discover bioXclusters plus initiatives for landing in foreign markets (USA, Canada, South Korea, China, Brazil).

Biocat organizes several activities in BIO-Europe Berlin: the Boost4Health networking and pitching session; Global Gateways, an activity organized by bioxclusters plus to provide information about the Gateways’ internationalization services and the Startup Slam, a pitching competition offering innovative entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their company at BIO-Europe.
