The consortium of the “FoodSmartphone” project of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (H2020-MSCA-ITN-2016) and the Nanobiotechnology for Diagnostics group (Nb4D) of the Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC-CSIC) are glad to announce the workshop SMART TECH for FOOD (ST4F) that will be held online from 25th to 26th November 2020.

The aim of the workshop is to give an overview of the technology involved in the field of food safety, from the perspective of scientific stakeholders and the industry as well. The workshop will explore the currently available diagnostic tools, the quality and safety testing methods based on EU regulations, also discussing the future trends towards the application of smart technologies for food safety. The workshop will end with an open day dedicated to the general public, displaying demos of the newly developed technological devices of the FoodSmartphone project.

This workshop is addressed to anybody interested in food safety from the scientific community, regulatory agencies, food producers, students, biotech companies and consumers.

This workshop is held in the frame of the last year of the FoodSmartphone project. The project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 720325.
