Biorce, a Barcelona based TechBio company dedicated to transforming clinical trials through artificial intelligence, has announced the successful completion of a €3.5 million funding round. The investment will accelerate the development of its flagship AI model, Jarvis, which is designed to enhance real-time data accessibility in clinical trials.
The funding round was led by YZR Capital and Mustard Seed Maze, with additional support from Outsized Ventures, Pathena Family Office, and Plug and Play Tech Center. The proceeds will drive further development of Biorce’s AI platform, including Jarvis, which aims to optimize clinical trial processes by providing real-time, cross-referenced data access for patients, physicians, and researchers.
Founded in 2024 by Pedro Coelho, Biorce seeks to tackle key challenges in clinical trials, such as inefficiencies, data fragmentation, and logistical hurdles. “Clinical trials are vital for drug development but are often hindered by inefficiencies, fragmented data, and logistical complexities. We’re transforming this landscape with our multi-modality platform and Jarvis, our proprietary AI model, to make trials faster, more efficient, and accessible to all,” said Pedro Coelho.
Jarvis serves as a centralized source for real-time trial data, designed to enhance information access for all stakeholders involved in the clinical trial process. By aggregating data from multiple sources, Jarvis delivers timely insights and minimizes the need for manual data reconciliation.
Markus Feuerecker, Founding Partner at YZR Capital, stated: “Biorce’s integration of AI into clinical trials addresses significant gaps in the industry. They’ve developed a cutting-edge product that promises major efficiency gains for their clients. We’re thrilled to support the team led by Pedro, Clara, José, and Diogo, whose combined expertise in CROs, clinical trial management, and programming gives them the ideal foundation to innovate in drug development.”
Sofia Queiroz, Principal at Mustard Seed Maze, added: “Investing in Biorce aligns perfectly with our mission to back transformative healthcare solutions. The clinical trial sector is ready for disruption, and Biorce’s end-to-end AI platform has the potential to dramatically reduce the time and cost of bringing life-saving drugs to market. We’re particularly excited by their unique approach to building network effects through private data partnerships across the clinical trial ecosystem.”
With this investment, Biorce is poised to advance its mission of improving clinical trial efficiency and accelerating the development and delivery of groundbreaking treatments to patients.
