Spain’s main newspaper, El País, in the article “The dream of a Spanish Covid vaccine” of 21 June, reports on two of the research projects under way at CiQUS. First, it deals with the project of the group led by José Martínez Costas, which focuses on obtaining microspheres in cells to activate immunity, and secondly, the article covers the project of Javier Montenegro's group on developing peptide vectors for the cellular delivery of messenger RNA (mRNA) that could potentially be used in COVID-19 vaccines.

Appearing among the first ten COVID-19 vaccine projects currently in process in Spain is for CiQUS both an honour and an incentive to contribute to biomedical challenges of global importance.
