The latest tests of the Aquolive product have been carried out at the IRTA facilities in Sant Carles de la Ràpita (Tarragona) to assess the improved growth and immunity of young salmons facing a bacterial challenge. The test completed in the first half of the year studied parameters directly linked to the growth and immunological system of young salmon, a process that includes smoltification, which is when the salmon habitat changes from fresh water to salt water.

The test produced promising results for the parameters under study, establishing AQUOLIVE’s influence as a growth and health enhancer in the presence of a bacterial challenge. A new battery of tests will be carried out in the coming months aimed at understanding the product’s action mechanism to clarify and promote the best ways to use it.
