Biotasmart, a Valencia-based startup specializing in the clinical interpretation of the microbiota, has closed an investment round led by Angels, the investment arm of Juan Roig and part of Marina de Empresas. The round also included participation from Dacsa Group and other business angels, including Hortensia Roig, Julia Barroso, Ángel López, Roberto Urbez, and the public entity ENISA.
Biotasmart is a Lanzadera-accelerated startup that has positioned itself as a benchmark in translating the scientific complexity of the microbiota into personalized clinical recommendations that can be applied in daily practice. This enables healthcare professionals to make more informed and consistent decisions during consultations. The microbiota behaves uniquely in each individual, depending on factors such as diet, lifestyle, and environment. Therefore, understanding its condition is key to optimizing health and well-being in a personalized way.
The investment will allow Biotasmart to consolidate its position as a strategic partner for longevity clinics, integrative health centers, and high-performance sports clubs nationwide, as well as to expand its team in order to continue strengthening its growth and development.
