Starting in academic year 2021-2022, Loyola Marymount University (LMU) will become the new MGEMpartner in the United States of America, replacing the University of San Francisco. LMU is located in the city of Los Angeles, California, and ranks among the top 15% of universities in the USA according to the Wall Street Journal.

After 12 years of successful collaboration with Fu Jen Catholic University (FJCU) and the IQS School of Management, the University of San Francisco (USF) will end its participation in the Master in Global Entrepreneurial Management programme in August 2021.

The MGEM programme has been home to approximately 500 students from over forty countries, and it has been recognized as one of the top programmes in global management. Recently, it was recognized for the sixth consecutive year in the Financial Times Masters in Management (MiM) ranking. The degree rose to the 19th overall spot in the ranking, a jump of 12 spots compared to last year.

As happened in 2019, the Financial Times highlights the programme as the world’s best in the “International Course Experience” category. The programme also earned second place in “Career Progress” for its alumni, an indicator that evaluates the career progress of a programme’s students after they’ve graduated.

The MGEM is also recognized annually by the QS World University Rankings and in the international ranking made by the British magazine Times Higher Education (THE). Likewise, the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal also ranked the MGEM programme among the top 10 best masters in management.

The MGEM is done jointly between the IQS School of Management, Fu Jen Catholic University, and Loyola Marymount University. The master’s degree is taught in English and has a duration of 12 months. Classes are held in Barcelona the first four months, then the students head to Taipei for four months, followed by the final four months in Los Angeles.

During the programme, students develop their skills to lead multicultural teams, in addition to gaining negotiation and communication skills within a global context, with the aim of training future graduates to take on leadership and management roles at companies and organizations on a global scale. As part of the curriculum, students engage in management consulting projects for renowned international companies.

This partnership with Loyola Marymount University will enable IQS to continue preparing leaders who are ready to address global challenges.
