One of the challenges faced by society is the transition to electricity generation using renewable energy sources. In this sense, wind energy is one of the renewable energies that is experiencing the greatest growth potential. The Institute of Ceramic Technology of the Universitat Jaume I participates, together with the companies Siemens-Games and Clam Desarrollo and the Plastics Technology Centre (AIMPLAS) in the search for new materials applicable to this energy source that will allow greater performance to be obtained.
The project (RTC-2017-6341-3) is financed jointly by ERDF funds and the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities through the State Research Agency. The work team of the Institute of Ceramic Technology of the UJI that is participating in the development of the project is made up by Yolanda Bautista Rabanal, Adriana Belda Peña, Sandra Chamorro Morente, Ana Gozalbo Nebot and Vicente Sanz Solana as the project director.
