Ventura Medical Technologies, thanks to its participation in the program, will be able to access the United States market, taking advantage of EIT Health’s European network of first-rate accelerators, clusters and incubators.

The company will acquire knowledge about specific country’ healthcare system, regulatory environments, key stakeholders and competitors, and connections to industries, distributors, and experts in different disciplines, that will allow it to offer Pectus Up to patients with Pectus Excavatum on the North American continent.

The objective of the program is to support these SMEs in scaling out beyond Europe. It provides highly individualized support from members of EIT Health’s vetted European network of top-notch Global CATalysers, or Global CATs, that have an extensive experience in helping European healthcare to establish themselves globally.

Winners of this program, chosen from 78 applicants, were announced on May 6th of 2020. The selected companies are active in the fields of MedTech, BioTech and Digital Health and promote a wide range of healthcare technologies – from prosthetics, such us Ventura Medical Technologies, to drug testing to medical imaging, etc.

The company was selected based on the innovation of its solution, its business model, for having a defined product strategy, a proven traction in its local market, and a clear internationalization plan beyond Europe.

In addition to Ventura Medical Technologies, two other Spanish companies were also selected: Bitbrain and MOWOOT.
