Dr José Luis Cabero is joining Mind the Byte's advisory board, bringing his more than 25 years of business experience in global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Dr Cabero will support Mind the Byte's management team and Board of Directors.

Dr Cabero holds a Doctor's degree in Medical Science from Uppsala University (Sweden) and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School (USA). He spent most of his career in Sweden, where he has held various positions at Astra and AstraZeneca Gastrointestinal and Cardiovascular R&D Organisations. As a Vice President, he played a leading, instrumental role in the creation of Albireo, a spin-out from AstraZeneca that raised €25 million from major international investors and went live in February 2008. After moving to Spain in late 2008, among others, he has been CEO of Archivel Farma and Algenec as well as Chief Innovation Officer at Leti.

He is currently focused on supporting the creation and development of life science companies, acting as an entrepreneur-in-residence, advisor, board member, or interim manager.

"His vision will help us achieve the goals we've set in our expansion plan for now through 2020. One of the key points in this plan is to position the company as an international benchmark in computational drug design, mainly in markets like Scandinavia and Japan," explains Dr Alfons Nonell-Canals, founder and CEO of Mind the Byte. The company's main technology is its proprietary pay-per-use SaaS platform.

Recently, Mind the Byte also appointed Prof. Peter Edman as advisory board member.
