Between 24 and 27 October, IRB Barcelona is abuzz with the activities of the EVOMET Project Mid-Term School.

This four-day event, part of the Innovative Training Networks Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action, supported by the European Commission, is at the forefront of transforming our understanding and treatment of cancer metastasis.

With a consortium of 12 world-class institutions dedicated to training 15 young researchers, EVOMET is making significant strides in the field.

Workshop on Microscopy: Unveiling the Microscopic Universe

One of the pillars of the EVOMET Mid-Term School is the Workshop on Microscopy. In the pursuit of unraveling the complexities of cancer metastasis, researchers must venture into the microscopic universe. This workshop is a unique opportunity for participants to gain hands-on experience in state-of-the-art microscopy techniques.

Experts will guide them through the intricacies of confocal microscopy, super-resolution imaging, and advanced live-cell imaging. By delving into these cutting-edge techniques, the future researchers are equipped to uncover the hidden secrets of metastatic cancer, ultimately leading to breakthroughs in treatment.

Innovation Workshop: Forging New Pathways in Cancer Research

Innovation is the lifeblood of scientific progress, and the EVOMET Innovation Workshop emphasizes its pivotal role in cancer research. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with leaders in the field, share ideas, and explore new methodologies that challenge conventional thinking.

The students from two different schools will have the chance to get to know more about the EVOMET PhD students during a speed dating activity on Thursday morning.
