A project of the Institute for Biomedical Research Foundation Dr. Lleida Pifarré (IRBLleida)in co-operation with other European groups, developed a website in order to delay the risk of cognitive impairment in the elderly. With the name of "Project COME (My Caregiver and Me)," the research group Health Care (GREEK) of IRBLleida, led by Dr. Montserrat and Dr. Gea John White of the School of Nursing and Physiotherapy UdL develops its third European project, in this case led by Dr. Lleida. Carmen Nuin, professor at the University of Lleida, which in co-operation with other researchers • Faculty of Nursing and Physiotherapy of the University of Lleida and Management of Health Services has recently launched this study.

The project, which is coordinated in Europe and Iberia There is also formed by groups of researchers engaged in the same project in other countries such as the Netherlands, Hungary and Switzerland, have European funding through the program Ambient Assisted Living (AAL). The project budget is € 1,697,169 and is scheduled to end in December 2018.

The study uses widgets in the market, such as smart phones • Smart, to monitor people over 65 without cognitive impairment, or who have not been diagnosed. Thanks to the information obtained will be able to assess the needs of these people and help them lead a healthier life by delaying cognitive impairment through physical activity and social interaction, among other measures. It also aims to ensure that older people are more independent and at the same time, they are also carers.

The study started in January with the first phase consisting of a series of 20 interviews with people 65 to 75 years, and formal and informal caregivers. The next phase will focus on focus groups, meetings of different users to share live views. With the information obtained, we know what the needs of users first hand and then create a web platform where they collect this information, COME ultimate goal of the project (code AC14 official national / international official code 00027 and AAL-2014-127 ). The intention is that these users can bring improvements in real-time to building the platform through their comments and impressions. The final site will be a collection of this information.

AAL program
The AAL program (2014-2020) for research and development is based on Article 185 and 188 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and forms part of the program Horizon 2020.
