Dr. Marc Ribó, member of the Neurovascular Diseases group at Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) and neurologist of the Stroke Unite at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, comes back to the Mobile World Congress to present the latest advances of the telerehabilitation project for stroke, developed by the Vodafone Foundation in Spain.

The project offers a rehabilitation platform adapted to the requirements of people who have suffered stroke. Its goal is to complement and do maintenance rehabilitation training from home for patients who have had a stroke and learned how to do it in the hospital. In any case the aim is to replace treatment in person. The application provides access to a supervised rehabilitation program through any tablet device.

In this moment, the application is still under configuration. In this project are involved the Neurovascular Disease group at VHIR and Stroke Unit, and the Rehabilitation Service at Vall d’Hebron Hospital, led by doctors Inma Bori and Susanna Rodriguez. The Vodafone Spain Foundation provides the technology and knowledge to clinical practice moving the digital environment, through the Mefacilyta platform. This platform offers a collaborative web environment for the generation of personalized multimedia content, and uses technologies such as augmented reality and QR codes.
