Elías Campo takes office as Director of IDIBAPS

Yesterday, Tuesday, April 4th, Elías Campo took office as the new Director of IDIBAPS replacing Ramon Gomis, who has held the position since 2008. The election of the new director was made after an international call and an open selection process. Elías Campo is Research and Innovation Director of Hospital Clínic, Director of the Clinic Foundation and responsible for the group Molecular pathology of lymphoid neoplasms of IDIBAPS. He is also full professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Barcelona.

During the inauguration, which took place the framework of the Governing Board of IDIBAPS, Campo thanked the institutions that are part of IDIBAPS for his appointment. He also thanked the work developed by Ramon Gomis and pledged to continue working to promote excellence and to consolidate IDIBAPS as one of the reference centers in international biomedical research. The presentation of Elias Campo to the research community of the institution will be held in a few weeks.
