Four researchers at Hospital Clínic and IDIBAPS among the 2015 most cited scientists

Dr. Jordi Bruix, Head of the hepatic Oncology Unit at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, the Hepatic Oncology IDIBAPS research team, the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) and scientific director of CIBEREHD; Dr. Josep Dalmau, ICREA Professor and Head of the Pathogenesis of autoimmune neuronal disordersIDIBAPS research group; Dr. Josep Maria Llovet, ICREA Professor, Head of the Translational research in hepatic oncologyresearch groupat IDIBAPS and Director of Mount Sinai Liver Cancer Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York); and Dr. Eduard Vieta, head of the Psychiatry and Psychology Department at Hospital Clínic and leader of Bipolar Disorders team at IDIBAPS, are among the most influential names in science and appear in the Highly Cited Researchers 2015 list published by Thomson Reuters.

Thomson Reuters lists the 3000 most important names of 21 fields in science and social sciences. There have been evaluated articles published in indexed journals in these fields between 2003 and 2013 and there have only been considered those that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year indexed in the Web of Science, the so called Highly Cited Papers. Thus, the fact of belonging to this classification means that the work of these researchers is considered particularly important among his colleagues.
