Maria Vallet Regí, Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Complutense University of Madrid and Rei Jaume I Award for Basic Research 2018, held on Monday the third presentation of the series of lectures of the Ciutat de Castelló Chair of the Universitat Jaume I at Menador Cultural Space.

Professor Vallet, doctor honoris causa by the UJI, spoke about research and development in the field of nanomaterials and the different lines of applications in new communication technologies, architecture, ceramics or the health sector.

At the conference, entitled "Nanotechnology in our day to day", Maria Vallet stressed that the advancement in the research of nanomaterials, has allowed our society to evolve from large computers or huge mobile phones, to USB drives that have a very high storage capacity, large or small format mobile devices that allow us to communicate in many different ways.
