Researchers from the University of Barcelona (UB), the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS), and the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA) have founded the spin-off NeuroTransVisual Technologies, SL (NTVTech) with the goal of applying immersive virtual reality technologies to healthcare.

The University of Barcelona has become, together with the IDIBAPS and the ICREA, a shareholder in the spin-off NeuroTransVirtual Technologies SL through CIC-UB (Innovative and Scientific Culture - UB), which is the company of the UB group responsible for managing the shares in the spin-offs created by the University.

The Bosch Gimpera Foundation has provided support to the entrepreneurs during the definition of the business plan and the evaluation of the patentability strategy, as well as during the negotiation of the technology transfer agreement and the preparation of the partnership agreement.
