BIB, a non-profit association formed in 2015, counts universities, research centres, health research centres, large scientific infrastructures, companies and other institutions that carry out their activities in the areas of health, agrifood and technology among its partners. The association was established to generate synergies between biology and computer science and to develop high-quality education and training programmes in bioinformatics.
By boosting its digital presence with the brand new website, bioinformaticsbarcelona.eu, BIB aims to become the meeting point for the bioinformatics community in Catalonia. As well as sections on the BIB partners and their research groups working in the bioinformatics field, the site includes information on education and training, job offers and internships, news, activities and press clippings, as well as a section with information about BIB itself.
