Dr. Javier Crespo presented last 29th Session of the General Hospital of excellence Integrated project granted by the ISCIII recently. The project has several work packages that analyze epidemiological aspects related to viral dynamics and potential resistance to treatment, the factors that influence the immune response healing dynamics of hepatocellular carcinoma in patients who develop and aspects systemic involvement are as accelerated atherosclerosis potential and psychiatric manifestations.


In this project many of the most important researchers of the Institute as are involved Drs. Lopez-Hoyos , Luis Martinez , Benedicto Crespo-Facorro , Javier Llorca , MA Gay Glez and Jose Pedro Vaqué . Each will direct some of the different work packages through their respective teams and coordinated by Javier Crespo, director of the project.


It is estimated that the project will work more than 50 people in the school and has a grant of 638,000 € ISCIII, which will be completed with funding from other projects of this line and analyze various cohorts based on general population screening will be done in about 16,000 people and patients with this disease, a total of about 1000. The expected results should give Very relevant information that may have implications for the diagnostic approach, monitoring and treatment of these patients.
