In order to benefit from a reduction in corporate taxes, companies that develop R&D&I projects must have their research accredited by a certification authority. The Accredited Body DNV GL certifies such projects through assessments made by independent experts, who usually carry out their professional activities in Universities and Research Centres, to determine the technical nature of each project. In this context, the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation (FBG) has signed a collaboration agreement with DNV GL to offer the services of the expert researchers of the University of Barcelona (UB) to the Norwegian entity.
The role of UB researchers focuses on technical evaluation based on their expertise and the scope of the different project activities, in order to assess their nature, development, and technological innovation. All this evidence is measured in a subsequent expert assessment report in which two researchers are involved: one expert with general knowledge of the discipline of the project evaluated, and a technical expert with specific expertise in the matter.
The agreement between the company and the FBG will strengthen the collaboration of UB research groups and companies and increase Contract Research. UB experts interested in taking part in the external assessment of projects do not need any prior experience in evaluation because they will receive basic training and support from experienced staff throughout the certification process.
