Even if Europe (and other countries, like USA with their BRAIN Initiative) has launched a huge and ambitious project on "brain research", the European Brain Council recognises the vital need to create a body of evidence supporting our call to give the brain a higher priority as well as to provide policy makers with the state-of-the-art knowledge concerning key needs in the field of brain research.

This document has been named as "Consensus Statement" and strives to rise the awareness of more brain and related diseases research in Europe, a part of the world with the perspective to become a society of helder people in the next decades.
