Health & Bio Team Dating, the meeting between scientists and business people to create start ups

On 1 December in La Dama del Paraigües (space into the zoo, in Parc de la Ciutadella), Banc Sabadell, Biocat and CataloniaBio are holding once again Barcelona Health & Bio Team Dating, a meeting between researchers and research groups working in life sciences and business people aims to bring together groups who can create new business synergies and start ups.

This event will again focus on creating work groups through 30 minute meetings that encourage successful networking. In addition, success stories will be shared by guest speakers during the event.

200 meetings and 5 companies created

During the first edition of the event in 2015, over 200 meetings were held and 60 projects and business people were put in contact with each other. 82% of participants made new contacts and started partnerships through the initiative. 67% of those who attended are still working with these partnerships today. In addition, five groups created a company, and all of the participants said they would like to repeat the experience.

This event is aimed at researchers with projects related to healthcare, agrifood, therapeutics and diagnostics, medicine, medical devices and other areas of life sciences. It is equally open to people with business experience and the knowledge required to market new technology or laboratory services.

If you are interested in taking part, you should register on the platform before 21^st November and create a profile. Each participant should state what they offer and what they are looking for. This information will then be made available to other participants to set up networking meetings. On 1 December participants will meet at the event to take part in the planned activities.
