Núria Martí Ras has joined Biocat this May as the new Director of Innovation. Núria Martí, previously head of Business Development and Innovation at the Institute for Health Science Research Germans Trias i Pujol (IGTP), will be in charge of leading the new technology transfer and innovation projects that are at the core of Biocat’s new strategy.

With a PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Núria Martí wrote her thesis in Microbiology at the Institut Pasteur in Paris and did a Master in R&D Management in health at the Institute of Health Carlos III.

After doing a post-doc at the Institut Pasteur in Brussels, Martí continued her career at Ferrer Internacional, working in the company’s R&D center for more than 10 years managing drug-development projects. She also headed up the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office at the Institute for Health Science Research Germans Trias i Pujol (IGTP) for over 4 years.

“I’m very proud to be joining the Biocat team and contributing my knowledge and experience to promote innovation and technology transfer in the healthcare and life sciences ecosystem in Catalonia,” she says. Martí is taking over from Jordi Fàbrega and will lead a team of six.
